The Drinking Water Dilemma in South Africa

The drinking water dilemma in South Africa demands urgent action from the private sector to safeguard the health of our nation—especially our growing children. It is tragic to witness the widespread ignorance among our people, institutions, and even healthcare establishments regarding the critical role of the right type of drinking and cooking water (not just “safe” water) in supporting overall health and well-being.

Despite the wealth of available knowledge—readily accessible today via AI and other technologies—the pharmaceutical and related industries seem to deliberately ignore the importance of health-promoting water. Alarmingly, the World Health Organization (WHO) already published a report back in 1986 warning against the use of reverse osmosis (RO) filtered and bottled water for drinking purposes. Yet, much of the Western world continues to consume it—often packaged in plastic bottles, 93% of which (according to global research) contain microplastics. Long-term consumption is linked to serious conditions such as osteoporosis.

It’s also well known that excessive chlorine—commonly used in the disinfection of municipal tap water—is carcinogenic in the long run. Add to this the harmful biological and chemical contaminants like estrogen residues, which disrupt hormone balance, especially in men and boys. The long-term consequences for our children—particularly our boys—are rarely discussed, likely due to a general lack of awareness.

Even more concerning is that many people fail to make the financial connection between the cost of clean, mineral-rich water and long-term family health savings. Healthy kitchen water costs only a fraction of what you may eventually spend on medical care and pharmaceuticals.

About Hidro+

The technology required to produce structured mineral water—the kind found in nature and essential for life—is neither new nor complicated. So why is the general public still uninformed about its importance? Why don’t more people know about the necessity of natural minerals, balanced alkalinity, and the fact that electromagnetic fields (EMFs), like those from 5G and microwaves, can break down the water’s natural molecular structure—creating “sick” water?

Most people are simply concerned with tap water availability and basic cleanliness, not the health quality of the water they and their families consume.

Why Hidro+ Water Wellness is Different

Established in 2015 in Moreleta Park, Pretoria East, Hidro+ Water Wellness was founded to address these very shortcomings. Since then, we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients whose lives and health have improved through our water solutions. We are now expanding our efforts by using social media to educate and inform while implementing our newly designed supply systems that bring you greater independence and assurance of supply and quality—without the hassle and cost of heavy bottled water deliveries.

Our goal is to reach schools, sports institutions, hospitals, pregnancy clinics, and more with real solutions. You can also view several educational videos on YouTube about the benefits of Living Water.

It’s vital that school governing bodies begin implementing Drinking Water Quality Policies, particularly as municipal water supplies continue to deteriorate. Many water experts agree: the health qualities of our tap water can no longer be guaranteed. This problem—much like our electricity crisis—cannot be solved quickly due to infrastructure limitations and escalating demand.

Your family’s wellbeing is now in your hands.
